“free VPN” always feels like one of those too good to be true deals. Servers cost money, so if you’re not paying cash, they’re probably making money off you in other ways, like ads, throttled speeds, or straightup selling your data.
Also, VPN ≠ total anonymity. You’re just moving trust from your ISP to the VPN company, and if it’s a sketchy free one, that’s not really an upgrade. I only use free VPNs for quick stuff like unblocking a video, but if I actually care about privacy, I stick to a paid one with a no-logs policy.
